Tambopata is one of the world´s most diverse wildernesses. It is also one of the best preserved and reachable from Cuzco in only 30 min.
Refugio Amazonas is built on a 200 hectare private reserve on the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve. The Lodge is great for Families and Soft Adventure Travelers.
It is becoming integrated to the communities of Brazil nut extractors that surround it, attempting to extend the benefits of ecotourism to the families that commit to the sustainable use of the forest within this buffer zone.

Amazon Lodge - Tambopata Research Center in Puerto Maldonado

Tambopata is one of the world´s most diverse wildernesses. It is also one of the best preserved and reachable from Cuzco in only 30 min.

The Tambopata Research Center is located in a half hectare clearing in the middle of the uninhabited portion of the Tambopata National Reserve, adjacent to the Bahuaja National Park and 500 meters from the world’s largest macaw clay lick.
