This is a video of a 13lb peacock bass striking a topwater woodchopper lure in Brazil, 10/06, on the Unini River. With the video running only a couple minutes for the purpose of filming the lure’s action for the camera we fortuitously got the strike, fight and landing of the fish ON VIDEO as well!! I just bought a gulper catfish today for 200+ which I thought was a great deal cos of how rare they are. I also got a 50g tank for him which I just set up today also. I figured I’d put him in with my peacocks and angels for the night till the new tank settles in. I know they are capable of eating fish larger than them.. but I took my chances. And this is what I saw. He went for the biggest guy in the tank… :0

Feeding my peacock bass shrimp last night. About 1.5lbs of shrimp total. I love to stand back from the tank and throw them in. They love that too. Notice how they are watching me when I throw it and take turns eating them lol.
