Parakeet Lick from Amazon Ecuador

The two most easily accessible clay licks in Ecuador are administered by the Napo Wildlife Center and visited by Sacha Lodge, Sani Lodge, La Selva Lodge and the Manatee Floating Hotel. You can easily visit both licks in one morning. This shows the second lick or the parakeet lick. Amazon Lodge - Tambopata Research Center in Puerto Maldonado

Tambopata is one of the world´s most diverse wildernesses. It is also one of the best preserved and reachable from Cuzco in only 30 min.

The Tambopata Research Center is located in a half hectare clearing in the middle of the uninhabited portion of the Tambopata National Reserve, adjacent to the Bahuaja National Park and 500 meters from the world’s largest macaw clay lick.
