I always use a top walking lure which catch fish but always the small ones? I understand the larger 20 pounds are in the deepest part so how do you bring them to the surface with a top walking lure? Is there a lure or style of lure they will hit on when at depth at the bottom of the lake or do they only hit on top water?

Live minnows work best. Put on a sinker and a live minnow, drop to the bottom. I used to catch a lot in Panama.
