Yes. Stunting is a … Yes. Stunting is a very bad thing. Make sure when keeping peacock bass to always have the temperature at 86-88 or so. Also, a 55 gallon is much too small for these monsters and if kept in for life (Very short life if kept in a small tank like a 55) they will be very ugly looking, have deformities and probably still be around 18′ long. I suggest to have atleast a 180 gallon for peacock bass.
another thing could … another thing could be is ur fish tank crowded i.e does he have competition (which is good cause these get huge if u allow them 2 =P)
Is it possible for … Is it possible for these to get stunted? I bought one and have had it in my 55 gal, alone, for 2 weeks tommorrow and it hasnt grown nearly as big as yours have. Its been on a diet of live rosies and has been eating ferociously yet its syill small. Any ideas?
You can generally … You can generally get Peacock Bass whereever any other cichlid is sold since there a member of the family make sure your tank is big enough!
