Can my 8inch red tail catfish live with my 4inch peacock bass and my 3 4inch clown loaches?

your catfish will probably eat your loaches. loaches need groups of 5 or more. you would need a 1000 gallon pond just to accommodate your catfish and bass. Your catfish could reach up to 60 inches full grown, so the answer to your question is a big fat NO.

I’d have to say no to the clown loaches. Yes to the peacock bass. If you have like 1000 gallon tank then yes to the loaches. I say peacock basses and your catfish are a decent match though. Good Luck!

    Not for long.

In 6 months the catfish should be 18" long, and the loaches will be history. The peacock bass might grow fast enough to avoid being eaten, but RTCs get BIG, like 3ft long, and can swallow a fish almost 1/2 their own length.!!!

Seriously, no sane person should even buy a RTC. Only people crazy enough to have indoor ponds…
