Graco Infact car seats/travel systems - need opinions please?
I’m due in 2 months and want to get started with shopping for my baby.
I went to Target today to take a look at the car seats and the rest of the stuff to get an idea.
My friends tell me that Graco brand is the best.
Since we also need a stroller, I was thinking of getting the travel system, which includes both the car seat as well the stroller.
My question is:
a) Upto what age can I continue using the travel system that I would get for my lil’ one?
b) Which is the best place to get a travel system? Amazon, online at some other website or some store?
I would go to a store and shop for one. THis way you can try them out before you buy and see the differences.
I have a Graco and love it. Mine is super light and easy to fold up with a touch of a button.
It really depends on what age you use the carrier for. Most people use it up until 1 year, but then you just use the stroller and keep the carrier in the car. It’s worth it. It makes everything so much easier and safer.

i also have a graco and love it. my daughter is almost 3 and we still use the stroller. the car seat we used until she was about 9 months old, when she grew out of it. however it is still in really good condition and will be used for our second child.

well i bought an evenflo stroller that came with a car seat that you can attach to the stroller or take out for the car and i think it would work the same as any other brand as long as its not some cheap store brand. those usually stink.
but the one i have is great.
my husband and i dont have a car so we walk and take cabs.
if we walk (since hes too little to sit up yet) we have him in his carseat in the stroller when we go to the store.
or when we go to the doctor or something and take a cab we pack away the stroller in the trunk and use the carseat.
its great and its not bad at all.
the wheels squeak a little but it just needs to be oiled.
as long as it looks sturdy and works well i wouldnt worry about buying the brands.
as for up to what age im not sure because my baby is almost 5 months and still isnt in just a stroller.
but as for the best place, you just gotta be careful because if you buy online you can get ripped off easily.
i buy at walmart.com or target.com for the baby stuff i need but i ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS first.
make sure they all dont say ‘this was crap i hated it’ lol
hope i helped a little.

I have one and love it. The car seat, depending one which you get, can hold different amounts of weight. One of them I believe goes up to something like 20 pounds, the second (and more expensive) goes to 32 pounds. I got that one for my baby because my boyfriend is very long and tall and my ultrasounds were showing the baby in the 95 percentile. It’s easy to figure out, comfy, beautiful looking and comes in all sorts of different designs. You can also buy Graco strollers in joggers or traditional. Even though I love my stroller, I might have bought a jogger if I could go back and do it all again because the single wheel in the front makes it easier to get into smaller places, mine is much more cumbersome.. BUT, it folds sooo easily. You just press a button at the handle and it folds right down and you can just pop it in the trunk no problem. It has cup holders on the top next to the handle and a time and temp panel.. Even a basket down below that my little dog rides in. I suggest you go to the store and see which one you like best. I got mine at babysrus, but target had the same ones (no cheaper.) You can still use the stroller after he outgrows the car seat (or not, my baby uses it both ways right now at 7 weeks). With the car seat out it’s just like a regular stroller that the baby sits in without a car seat and you can use that probably until they’re 2 or 3 depending how big they are. When you want to put the car seat in, you just drop the back support of the regular stroller seat down a little bit and snap it in. The elevation of the back support is adjustable. When you take the car seat out, you just pull the back support up again and let them sit in it. The straps in mine were easily adjustable and there was head support. It does sit back enough to support a baby who doesn’t sit up on their own. I wouldn’t suggest you buy online, the shipping would be killer. Good luck mama, and congrats on the baby.

Hi there,
Graco is a really good brand but there others as good or even better!!
Chicco for example is a wonderful brand-it’s european the same with Perego! And they’re amazing.
Best place to buy–Stores. You want to see the stroller, push it-some strollers tend to be very heavy -and bulky- which isnt practical at all.
As for stores-you can look around-Toy’s R us, Target, Walmart—when you find the stroller you like just shop for the cheaper price!!
Look this is one of the best strollers in the market at the moment-
It’s the Chicco Cortina-Travel System

The Chicco Cortina in a different colour :

This is a Graco Travel System-they’re all pretty much the same and the con is that they tend to be on the heavier side.

a) Yes Travel Systems are the best Option. Most infant carseats will go up to 20lbs and some will go beyond that.
