Please suggest hotels or website for my trip?

I am going with a group of friends to Brazil in July. We already have hotels for Rio and the Amazon because we are going with a tour company but we plan on travelling on our own after that. But i still need hotel in Salvador Bahia.

There are lots of hotel options and several locations to stay in Salvador. If you like places more full of people, stores, and closer to the historical downtown area, you should consider staying next to farol da barra, ondina and rio vermelho. If you prefer more calm places, itapua, at a relativel distance from the historical downtown area maybe a good choice (where you can find international hotels like pestana, sofitel, etc). I think it will be easier to get a hotel recomendation once you know in which area you want to stay. I run a tour company operating in Rio de Janeiro only.
