Imagine you are Christian Missionary, going into Amazon Jungle, telling natives they all have sinned?

What exactly are you doing if you go to indigenous people and tell them they all have sinned?
What is the social/ecological impact of that?
Isn’t that like a threat?

Something you don’t know about this: they know they have. What missionaries bring is the solution: Jesus Christ.

Some tribes do not have the concept of guilt in their language so the missionaries had to teach them what guilt is. Then they could understand sin and then be saved. I believe it was quite a hard concept for them to get a cross. These were people who are still in a way living n the garden of Eden, they missed out on the Adam and Eve bit about being ashamed for being naked.

What is the social/ecological impact of that?

They already know.
Maybe not the language, but they have a concept of wrongdoing against another.

Well, if you know they are living immorally like killing at random, sex with anyone they please (sometimes leading to AIDS) stealing from each other, and things of that nature, I think they need to be told that living like that is wrong and why it’s wrong.
It would be like seeing them drink water from a dirty, polluted stream. You know, and can see, that it’s causing sickness. I think it would be the persons duty to tell them that this is unhealthy and why.Helping them make the water safe and okay to drink would be a real aid to them.
If they have no god in their life, or the wrong god in their life, the same principal applies. They should be told, shown, explained why it’s wrong and why. They would need to be told about the real God and have that explained to them too.
Some of the above is for their temporal-this life well being. Some of it is for their eternal-life to come well being.
