Survey for DT coursework project about massagers…?

December 28, 2010 - 5:36 pm 2 Comments

IF YOU’RE NOT GONNA BE SERIOUS, DON’T ANSWER!
I’ve got to make a massager for my product design A level and i’m doing this survey to find out people’s views. I need older people to answer this because I have too many teenager’s answers at the moment. Don’t try saying funny stuff coz you’ll have only wasted 5mins of your life replying to my question. I will submit this in several different areas, so don’t bother telling me it’s in the wrong place. Okay, so…

question 1: what gender are you?

question 2: what age are you?

question 3: what’s most important to you in a product? Rate the following options from 1 to 4 (1 being the most important)…
a) looks
b) price
c) how well it’s made/ good quality materials
d) if it’s eco-friendly or not

question 4: what style do you identify most with? e.g. minimalism, art deco, new design, futuristic stuff, gothic stuff, luxurious stuff, conservative stuff, ‘green’ stuff etc.

question 5: how many hours do you work a week?

question 6: how many hours do you sleep a week?

question 7: how often do you feel stressed?

question 8: what do you do to relax?

question 9: have you ever had a massager before? if yes - from who & how many times?

question 10: what material would you like a massager to be made from?

question 11: what would you like the massager to do?

question 12: what colour(s) would you like it to be?

question 13: have you ever used a massager before?

question 14: do you have any ailments that would benefit from using a massager e.g. back pain/ foot pain/ carpal tunnel syndrome etc.?

I’m not much older, but I hope my answers are useful…

question 1: what gender are you?
Female

question 2: what age are you?
23

question 3: what’s most important to you in a product? Rate the following options from 1 to 4 (1 being the most important)…

I like things that have a rather traditional feel to them.

More than once a day

Yes - my lower back muscles are weak, so my upper back tries to compensate, giving me back and shoulder pain.

how to catch a peacock bass?

December 26, 2010 - 2:25 pm 7 Comments

i wanted to know if i can catch it with a banjo fishing lure. i cought a peacock bass in my lake with a shinny silver and blue lure, but i lost it. so if you have any tips to give me to catch one.
thanks

Where the hell is Josh when you need him to answer a question. Me personally, I do not, repeat do not believe the Banjo Minnow scam. Josh does.

If these peacocks of yours are of any size, I would stay away with the Banjo Minnow. Big peacock cichlids have been known to break rods and strip the gears of even the most durable baitcaster. They’ll rip the hooks off a surface popper. Small ones will spool you just as quick. If they can obliterate a hard wooden lure, they’ll destory a soft plastic just as fast.

It’s shame there are none here in Southern California.

Are there any stores that still have swimsuits?

December 22, 2010 - 6:38 pm 5 Comments

I know its getting alot colder in the north but we have been offered a trip to Great Wolf Lodge which is an indoor waterpark. So I have been trying to find my daughter a cute 12-18 month swimsuit and its almost impossible. I know theres Amazon and Ebay. But any actual stores still have swimsuits for toddlers?

the childrens place online has them around $15

How do I train my peacock bass to eat dry foods?

December 20, 2010 - 9:54 pm 1 Comment

He is about 1.5 to 2 inches right now.

Do not feed it far a couple of days then give it dry food but remember it will need live food eventually.

Can i put a peacock bass in my current tank?

December 18, 2010 - 9:20 pm 2 Comments

i have a tank with 7 cichlids at the time and they are all africans except for one jack dempsey and i dont want to be told you cant mix the two kinds because they get along great! my local fish store has a small peacock bass and i was wondering if i could add him to my tank. someone told me the PH is different but i wanna know if there is anyway i can do it because i really like this fish. please help :)
Peacock bass (Cichla sp.) come from the Amazon river so they require a pH which is somewhat lower than what the other fish want. Other than that, peacock bass make for poor aquarium fish. Amazonian cichlids often eat any other fish they can fit in their mouths. This is especially true of peacock bass, which tend to have very aggressive natures. This causes a potential problem for expensive tankmates, especially since peacock bass tend to outgrow other popular aquarium fish. Also, peacock bass require large tanks upon reaching adulthood.

Freshwater fishing rods that will hold up to 15-20 pound peacock bass?

December 16, 2010 - 7:27 pm 4 Comments

I have been stocking my backyard canal with peacock bass for 3 years now, and i have peacock in there that easily reach 20 pounds, im afraid to use my bass rod and i was wondering what rod and reel for freshwater would hold up to these monsters, yesterday my friend hooked a big one and broke his saltwater rod.

Must have been a really big peacock or your buddy didn’t know what he was doing. I’ve not fished for them in their native land, but I will at least once before I die and from what I’ve seen on TV and youtube videos, they can be had on very heavy bass tackle.

For instance, a big peacock could very well be handled on a extra heavy seven-foot-eleven Gary Loomis Nine-Fifty-Seven Swimbait Rod that’s rated for twenty-five to sixty pound line and four to ten ounce lures.

Other heavy and extra heavy rods like the one above would work well. My top of the line Shimano Crucial Swimbait Rod could probably handle one extremely well.

Can someone please tell me what a resolution could be to this conflict?! How should she resolve the conflict?!?

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was standing in the kitchen, when suddenly the telephone rang. I was cooking pasta on the stove, so I quickly closed the lid and set the spoon on the counter. Wiping my hands on the closest fabric I could find, my jeans, I picked up the phone. “Hello?”
“Uh, hello Miss, This is Jeffery Locke from the TV show Nightmare in the Amazon. I just called to inform you that we received your entry letter, and would like to have you on our show.”
I was so stunned, all I could think was oh my gosh, I’m going to be on TV! This meant I could become famous… and rich! The winner of the show receives a million dollars and a two-week Caribbean cruise. All you had to do was survive for a week in the unmapped jungles of Guyana with 4 other contestants.
“Miss? Are you still there?”
“Y-y-yes, I’m here,” was all I managed to choke out.
“Okay good, just stay on this line for just a moment and I’ll give you all the details….”
I would do anything to go back to that day and change my mind about even entering the execrable contest. The show’s producers make the show sound as though there’s nothing to it. Finding plants to eat, sleeping on the ground for a couple days, and just playing it safe for a week, but in reality that’s not even close. It’s the middle of August, and the only plants to be found are poisonous. The forest is loaded with horrifying creatures and bugs, and worst of all, it’s so hot you can’t even breathe.
i wrote this…but i need to know how the character can resolve the problem! please help! 10 points for A GOOD ANSWER!

I assume now that Miss is currently in the unmapped jungles, and that is the conflict?

for sleeping, Miss could rig up a hammock of sorts so she would be above ground but outside of range of poisonous plants and other forest dwellers. Water could be found in the damp ground–if you dig far enough, you can find water. If there is mud, that is even better and she could cover herself in mud so that she wouldn’t be found by dwellers. As for food, she could eat bugs or sate her hunger with pulp from shredded tree innards and possibly nuts. Or she could be awesome, kill one of the terrifying creatures, and eat their flesh.

If all else failed, perhaps she uses her heels (high heels) to knock out a bear, scrape up everything she needs, and wins. She finds that when she returns the world is not as she had seen it before and she almost prefers the outright brutality of the forest over the current subtly bladed animosity at home.

Hope that works!

What’s the best Seattle travel guide?

December 12, 2010 - 11:59 pm 1 Comment

I found a lot on Amazon but I’m from France so I can’t check them up.

I would like a tiny travel guide which includes maps, bus lines, car rental, and many tips (not really fancy restaurants & hotels) and, if possible, some information on Olympia.

Thanks for you help, sorry for my english.
Thank you for your answers and these really good websites.

However I’m looking for a paper guide (book size) to carry out wich includes maps and bus lines. Any idea ?

Well Seattle has it own travel site you can browse that and get the required information there only. But I can surely suggest you car rental site that offer good cars at cheap rates. You can log on to http://www.usacarsrental.com/ . You will get car at best discounts and deals here only.

Amazon jungle or African safari?

December 10, 2010 - 11:23 pm 12 Comments

Africa…a photo safari. No animal killing. But not in hot weather.
Leave the Amazon jungle alone, not only is it inhospitable to humans, but it needs to be left as it is. It doesn’t need to be damaged any more.
